Ron is running for Sheriff because he believes it is time to prioritize the safety of the citizens of Alamance County over politics. He recognizes that the heart of any professional organization is its employees, the individuals who get the job done. This requires developing a professional law enforcement organization where deputies and other employees are recognized for the quality of service they provide the citizens of Alamance County rather than who they know or support politically. A professional organization needs a professional leader and Ron Parrish is the person for the job. As Alamance County Sheriff, Ron will: 

• Audit all current programs ensuring a more cost-effective approach to management

• Reorganize the sheriff’s office with an emphasis on placing more uniformed deputies “on the street”

• Employ technology which increases efficiency; keeping deputies on the street and in your neighborhood rather than sitting in an office

• Ensure career status for deputies at the rank of Captain and below

• Enhance the working relationship of the sheriff’s office with all law enforcement agencies; making our streets, neighborhoods and schools safer

• Reduce the current inmate population creating a safer work environment for detention officers and bringing the Alamance County jail into compliance with state regulations

• Seek national accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), thereby creating objective oversight for promoting the efficient use of resources and improving service to the citizens of Alamance County.
